We provide an environment where our students can think, talk and understand mathematics, applying their knowledge to solve problems. Our students are exposed to a curriculum that is engaging. challenging and motivating, regardless of students’ current level.
The department is committed to delivering a range of qualifications that reflect the varied needs of our student and students are also encouraged to take mathematics beyond GCSE level, with opportunities to sample and experience areas of mathematics outside the GCSE sphere.
Key Stage 3 focuses on creating a deep understanding of concepts and how these relate to maths across different topic areas.
Key Stage 4 further develops these topic areas with students able to sit the AQA Entry Level Certificate and AQA Level 2 Further Mathematics Certificate where appropriate,
