Students mark GCSE results day success

The Ormiston Maritime Academy community is celebrating the success and progress of its Year 11 students today, as GCSE results are released.

The school is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown resilience and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.

The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.

While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:

  • Jack, who achieved a Grade 9 in English language and Grade 8s in science and English literature
  • Paighton, who secured a Grade 9 in English literature and three Grade 8s in science
  • Oliver, who received a Grade 8 in maths and English literature.

Ormiston Maritime Academy is committed to creating positive and ambitious learning experiences for all young people, so they thrive in all aspects of life. As part of Ormiston, the school is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, gains the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

Rob Spendlow, Interim Principal at Ormiston Maritime Academy, said:

“It has been fantastic to see students celebrating their achievements today. Every result represents years of hard work, perseverance and commitment, and each student should feel incredibly proud.

“We are excited to see where their next steps take them and know they will continue to achieve great things.”
